The analog interface to the Central Office needs to sink current from the line and provide line monitoring (e.g. loop start and ground). Mitel Semiconductor offers an alternative to discrete components by using hybrid technology to mix the analog and high voltage signals, resulting in a more compact and cost-effective design.
