VCSELs
Mitel Semiconductor supplies VCSELs (Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Lasers), LEDs, PIN photodetectors and duplex devices. These allow Mitel to offer products to drive fiber optic cable in data network applications such as Gigabit Ethernet, Fiber Channel, FDDI and ATM. Mitel's PIN/Pre-amp combo devices are designed so that the pre-amplifier is mounted inside the same package as the photodetector, so improving performance and reducing assembly cost to the end-user.
